Laser Services
COMING April/May 2024

Laser Hair removal uses controlled flashes of light that are absorbed by your hair follicles in the treatment areas. The light damages and destroys these follicles without damaging your outer layers of skin.

Laser Hair Removal Q & A

1

How does laser hair removal work?

Lasers are a light-based technology that make use of the power of light to destroy specific cells in the body. In the case of hair removal, the laser light beam targets the hair follicles in your skin where your hair grows. The light beam destroys the pigment cells within the follicle, which kills the follicle and removes your skin’s ability to grow new hair.

2

How many treatments would I need?

Most patients require between 4-6 treatment sessions, spaced at four to six-week intervals to ensure permanent destruction of all the hair follicles in the target area.

You should see hairs coming out following your first session, and within three sessions, there’ll be a noticeable reduction of hair in the treated area.

Providing you complete the recommended course of treatments the area benefits from permanent hair reduction.

Results Vary and can not be guaranteed.

3

Are there any side effects of laser hair removal treatments?

Laser hair removal destroys the dermal papilla of a hair (hair root), it is normal to see some slight redness and/or mild swelling associated with the laser treatment.

In most individuals, this will disappear in half an hour to several hours.
